Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology started its journey back in the year 1979. The humble beginning has resulted in the growth of the institute over the years as it offers both graduate and post graduate courses. Currently, the institute features as one of the top 14 institutions in the state of Karnataka. In terms of its location, it is also quite easily accessible standing at a distance of 73 kilometres from the city of Bangalore.

Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology receives financial assistance from the World Bank. The institute has a very active placement cell which provides employment opportunities to the students. Hostel facilities are available within the campus itself.
